There are seasons when faith feels heavy. The prayers feel unanswered. The breakthrough seems delayed. The Bible feels dry. The worship songs feel like work. If that is where you are right now, please hear this: you are not alone, and you are not failing.
Even the great heroes of Scripture had heavy seasons. Elijah collapsed under a tree and asked to die. David wrote entire psalms from the pit. John the Baptist sent messengers from prison to ask, ‘Are You really the One?’ God did not rebuke them. He fed Elijah. He sang back to David. He sent comfort to John.
Heavy faith is not weak faith. Sometimes it is the strongest kind — the faith that keeps showing up even when feelings have gone silent. Obedience in the dark is worth more than excitement in the light.
So keep going. Open the Bible even when it feels closed. Pray short prayers when long ones are too much. Stay connected to your church family. The dawn is coming, and the God who began this work in you will be faithful to complete it.
